Coz you had a bad day,

You takin’ one down,

You sing a sad song just to turn it around,

Hands up for anyone that go thru a bad day before and I will see hands rising up everywhere. Whether you just broke up with your girlfriend/boyfriend, getting in a wrong bus, stuck in a massive jam, or found yourself stranded in a bus stop in a rainy day without an umbrella; bad day can come in many many forms!

Sometimes when I really had a bad day at school, I will go back home, take a warm shower, change into something comfortable, take a huge tub of ice-cream and watch non-stop marathon of F.R.I.E.N.D.S… haha….

(I would do that but I rather…)

Nah! I just kid about that stuff. Haha… Actually the key for a good “pick-me-up” lies in your mind! Thus a positive thinking will helps if you feel really down. I just happen to have a list of “happy-thoughts” (complement of Aileen Wang) that you guys can “think” about when you are feeling down.

Now think about these, one at a time. You’ll feel good at the end of each thought.

1.          Falling in love.

2.          Laughing so hard your face hurts.

3.          A hot shower.

4.          Holding hands with someone you care about

5.          Watching the sun rise

6.          Taking a drive along a pretty road.

7.          Waking up early and realizing you still have a few hours left to sleep.

8.          Hearing your favorite song on the radio

9.          Running through sprinkles

10.      Having someone tell you that you are beautiful

11.      Lying in bed listening to the rain outside

12.      Hot chocolate.

13.      Spending time with close friends.

14.      Road trip with friends

15.      Getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day.

something just enter my mind and refuse to bulge. haihz..

the voice.. the images.. the tunes.. the moves…

haihz…

maybe it’s just a normal obsession. I mean people get it all the time. People obssesed with each other, people obssesed with Pokemon, people obssesed with shoppin, people obssesed with bloggin, and many many more!! In my case i’m obssesed with THE undisputed queen of belly-dancin SHAKIRA…

dunno when it begins. It hits me suddenly! When I’m walkin back home one day, I found myself hummin to Hips Don’t Lie… then i found myself google-ing shakira in my school com lab.. then i started to questions every1 about what they think about Shakira.. and when I saw her in MTV I can’t take my eyes off the TV set.. haihz.. Is it healthy??? i mean it sounds so "perverted" la… as if im stalkin her or somethin..

I know obsession will comes and goes easily. But deep in my heart i really hope my obssesion with her will lasts for a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery long time!!! haha…

k adios all!! (oh.. she does make a man wanna speak Spanish!!)

The One with Scary Movies

April 23, 2006

Every time I and my buddy hang out together, we will end up seeing a horror or scary movie. It’s an unspoken rule. And if there is no scary movie, we won’t be seeing any movie at all that day. This “tradition” applied to whoever we go out with. Haha… Weird as it may sounds but it’s true. Try going out with me and see!! Hehe…

So as usual, today’s outing turns out to be a great one. The four of us (that’s Adrian, wil lipe, lup soon and me) decided to hang out at 1Utama. At the bus station we started to discuss which movie to see that day. Lup soon suggested 3 movies. Namely: Water Spirit, When a Stranger Calls (WASC) and Reincarnation. I, being a true blue reader of The Stars quickly points out that The Stars give a “no-no” rating to Water Spirits. Their reactions give me some approval. Some nodded, some said nothing. Anyway what so interesting about a movie about some liquidfied old spirit?? I mean… it’s just water rite?? Suck it and it’s gone. Ok whatever.

So we end up buying tix for the two movies which are WASC and Reincarnation. Double shot of scary movie in one day! That’s great man! After purchasing our tix, we quickly plan the time for the rest of the day. Have lunch, see Reincarnation, lepak for a while, see WASC, and dinner. So first stop, Burger King. The food is quite ok. Lotsa chili sauces!! (if only you know what I’m talking about!!) Haha… Ok! After lunch we head straight to GSC to catch the first of our double-shot.

Reincarnation is an ok movie. It is produced by the same bunch of guys that gives us ju-on and ju-on 2. So expect lotsa mechanical creaking sounds when the “thing” moves around!! Haha… Overall, this movie is quite Ok. Gives you a few scare some time. Hehe…

After a few minutes of lepaking, we head for WASC. Now this movie is quite “sien” at the beginning. Quite a lot of false scare. Like the part when the girl was about to opens the closet’s door. Now, she is expecting some one to be inside. The tension is slowly building up! The music and sound effect become louder!! The audience is sitting on the edge of their seat. Some are covering their eyes. Everyone expects “something” to happen!! Suddenly it becomes quiet! Everyone is holding their breath. Nobody moves a muscle! And BOOM!!! The cat jumps down!!!

“CHECH!! Ingatkan pembunuh tadi. Rupanya kucing itu. Terkejut aku.”

I can hear a Malay girl proclaimed loudly next to me. Haha…

The movie do has its fair share of high notes. The struggle scene between Jill and the murderer is really neat! The ending is nice too. Overall the movie starts off slowly but once it reaches its peak, that’s it, it ends like that! Haha… Weird huh?

After the two movies we went home. We have to take two buses to reach our place. By the time I reach there it was like 10.30 already. As my house is located deep in the “junge-ly” area, I have to use a small little grassy path with no lights to reach my home. Now that’s creepy!! Especially after two scary movies. But the scariest part of the journey is that my mind keeps on rewinding the scenes from the two movies. My mind started to plays tricks on me. After about 5 minutes, I heard something like a child crying. I, being as normal as any human being that ever walked the Earth, decided to broke into a run!!! That’s totally normal! When I reach a simpang, several of my neighbor’s stupid dogs started to bark at me. I guess they did that because I was running like an idiot. Usually they will just ignore me. So by the time I reach home I was covered in sweat. No injuries, no nothing. Just sweat!

You guys would probably think that I had learnt my lesson about watching too much scary movies right?? But hell NO!! I not gonna give up just because of that!! No way. Next time I go for scary movies, I will wear my trusty running shoes. Haha…

Just in case!!

Have you ever encounter a crazy person before? Oh you know, those people that you saw wondering around LRT stations laughing and smiling to themselves. And if you are lucky you may encounter one dancing and singing to you. (Especially in Pasar Seni LRT station) Haha…

But are these smiley and joyful people really as crazy as they seem to be? After a little incident yesterday, I would have to say NO. They are after all people that laugh. I mean what’s wrong with laughing?? Hehe…

(Thoughts whirred back to yesterday incident)

Arveen and I are sitting in Daniel’s car. Usually it’s just Arveen that tumpang Daniel’s car but since no one is fetching me back from UTAR yesterday I decided to tumpang along, since I’m lazy to walk after a 3-hour practical lesson. Daniel drives a white-colored (or is it silver?) Proton Iswara with some modification done on the sounds systems. Oh, you know… just like those speakers in cars that when the proud owner turns the volumes UP you can hear the DUM! DUM! DUM! from far far away. Well Daniel is not like one of those jerky guys, he did not even fiddle with the volume button. The volume remains at a “safe” level throughout the journey. Honestly I do not mind if he increases the volume. It will be better that way. Haha… Anyway Daniel pops a CD inside the CD player and WOILA! Daddy Yankee’s is blasting on the stereo. While I was enjoying the nice tunes, I caught Arveen’s face. I dunno what the deal with Arveen is. She will laugh at almost anything. And when she laughs everyone gonna laugh along!! That’s how infectious her laughter is. Haha…

Anyway I caught up with Arveen face. As usual she is laughing. Then I laugh along. Hahahaha… But luckily the two of us were sitting in the backseat so Daniel wouldn’t have any clue of our crazy antics. Hehe… After finish laughing we get back into our normal composure. Hehe… I was forced to sit in front after Thina get down in MC. Then it happens. Daddy Yankee’s song just finish and another song comes up. It was Beyonce’s Check on It. The song was nice. I even bop my head along to the tunes.

Beyonce: Ooh boy! You lookin’ lik u lik wat u see.. won’t chu come comecomecomecomecomecome…..

The disc got jammed. At first I didn’t noticed it. I was looking outside the window. Then I saw Arveen’s face. She was laughing with a hand clasped on her mouth. I guess the jamming part in the CD just activated her system. She laughs the “suppressed laughter”. This is a tough one. When I see her laugh that way I can’t help but laugh along. But I can’t!!! Daniel would probably think I’m crazy or something! So I did the next best thing. I take my trusty cell phone out and started to fiddle with the buttons and started to laugh silently as if I had just received a VERY VERY funny message.

But this can only help for awhile as Arveen keep on provoking me to laugh!! Well, she can laugh all she wants as she was sitting in the backseat. Argh… darn it!! But I can’t. Throughout the journey I keep on staring outside the window with the hope that I will see something heartbreaking like a handicapped dogs crossing the road or a small little girl helping her Grandma’s up after she fell down. But duh! I didn’t see any of those.

After what it seems like infinity, I finally arrived at Asia Jaya LRT station. I quickly got out and wave goodbye and of course exchange my final laughter with Arveen. With the hope that Arveen will eventually crack and laugh like a maniac in front of Daniel, I make my way to the station. After I get into the train, the memory started to whirred back to what happened just now. Finally I can’t take it anymore!! I just laugh and laugh in the train.

(SNAP!!!)

All along the train journey, I didn’t dare to look up. I just keep my head down. I really hope that someone or something will “outperform” my little act just now. Well unless some aliens just landed on the next station and started to distribute free condoms to everyone, my act remains #1 on the chart.

Now that’s what I called funny!!

web page design mid-term…  haih… so sad… readin the stupid book now.. while chattin on MSN… and writing blog at the same time.. i reali dunno how can i multi-task to this level… hehe.. but the result?

     1) My text book remains stuck at pg 31 for the past half an hour

2)My friends probably piss with me now cuz I took almost 20 minutes just to type a simple thing like "HAHA"

      3) This blog entry sucks… the ordered list doesn’t look ordered at all and I don’t even know what i’m writting about….

I guess it is true when people said that men can multi-task better… but they just forget to mention the outcome … haih…. and in this case? (if you still haven’t noticed)

It is TERRIBLE!!!!

It rain again today…

Heavier than yesterday… But less thunderly than the day before yesterday… It resolved faster today than the day before the day before yesterday… and more chilly than the day before the day before the day…… huh??

I’m lost too. But my point is:

                                          IT RAINS EVERYDAY

Haha… This thought brings me back to the incident that happened to me a few days earlier involving two Uncles while I was riding in a bus.

As I was in the bus, there are these two Uncles that talk to each other in Cantonese about the unpleasant weather. And yes, being a typical middle-age Chinese Uncle, they make it a point to speak (or is it shout???) loud enough so that everyone in the bus have a clear idea on what they talk about.

Uncle 1: Ei now ar… Everyday also rain at this time wo… So “ma fan” (that’s troublesome in Cantonese for those of you that scratching your head) for us that take public transport. Everyday also rain this time!! 3 in the evening…

Uncle 2: (Nodding enthusiastically) Yalor yalor… lucky I got bring umbrella… next time ar… when u go out no need to look at sky wan… sure will rain this time…

The topics of their conversation then switch from politic (something about the price of petrol) to some baseless gossip (Ms. Tan from Uncle 1’s neighborhood is getting married again).

To prove that Uncle 1 is wrong, I make it a point to time it every time it rains. Sure enough, it rains almost 3 pm everyday. Duh!! The old guys always right. Typical Chinese proverb about old people eating more salt than us eating rice would be best applied here. Haha…

But today as I was attending my Finance lecture, I caught a glimpse of the darken sky. I quickly steal a glance at my watch. My Casio digital watch tells me that it was 1:30 pm…Ok well maybe it takes longer time for it to rains today. But after just half an hour, it began to pour down. And what a great downpour it is…

FINALLY I’m rite!!!! It doesn’t rains at 3 pm everyday!! Haha… Old guy is not always right!! Hehe… Well at least my theory is correct and supported by strong evidence. Haha… OK… That’s 1 down, thousands and thousands more to go….

Now who have idea on where Ms. Tan marriage gonna be???

hehe.. finally my 1st blog.. i created it out of the blue in my school internet lab..  haha.. due to extreme "boringness"…  hehe.. well i guess tats all for my first blog.. i really don’t want to introduce myself or my favourites in this blog.. you guys can check it out in my friendster rite??? hehe.. k good day for you all..
